A POLICE dog search of Kohi Point yesterday yielded no sign of missing man Joseph Webb.

Alongside local Search and Rescue volunteers, police revisited the Kohi Point track near Whakatane with specialist dogs to look for signs of Mr Webb, but found none.

The last confirmed sighting of Mr Webb, 24, was on Tuesday, July 23 between 2.30pm and 3.30pm at the Whakatane Heads.

Earlier that day, Joseph went to The Warehouse where he was captured on CCTV (pictured).

He was also captured on CCTV footage passing the Coastguard building.

Mr Webb’s family said they were desperate to hear from him or to find out about his wellbeing.

They described him as a person who would help anybody.

“If he helped you in any way, please let the police know,” the Webb family said in a statement.

“We just want to know that he is okay.”

Mr Webb is described as being of medium build with short dark hair. He has a ta moko on his left upper arm.

Police urge anyone who was at The Heads on July 23, or who saw anyone matching Mr Webb’s description or wearing the same clothes to contact them as they continue to try to piece together his movements.

If anyone has any information, they are asked to contact 105 and quote file number 190724/0842.
