GULL has officially opened for business, with their introductory price the cheapest in town without promotions.

The site is offering regular 91 fuel at $1.997 per litre, and diesel at $1.357 per litre.

Gull property and capital manager Karl Mischewski said following a few soft openings, the site would be open to the public today.

“Assuming all goes well, the site should be officially open,” he said.

Mr Mischewski said there had been a few transactions last week to iron out any issues, with one final test run yesterday.

“Just to make sure everything’s working properly,” he said.

“We think we’ve got everything sorted now.”

The new station, located on the intersection of Bridge and Nelson Streets offers regular 91 fuel, Gull Full Power fuel and diesel for 24 hours a day.

The station also has an air hose onsite.

“It’s taken its time, but it’s good to get it finally done,” said Mr Mischewski.

“It’s great to see some competition come into Opotiki, finally.”
