OPOTIKI’S Joanne Donkin’s regular pre-Christmas exercise is taking place again, with the 52 Sedgewick Road family home being prepared to welcome visitors.

It takes Joanne weeks to set up the Christmas decorations she has collected over a 30-year time period.

This year the home will be open to the public for one evening only.

Visitors are welcome between 7pm and 9pm on Thursday, December 6.

“The school and daycare visits weren’t really working out,” Joanne says.

Christmas decorations, a small army of Santas, Christmas trees and interactive toys are included in the display.

As in previous years, entry is by gold coin donation with all funds collected going towards the care of Opotiki animals.
