OPOTIKI woman Carol Wheeler feels like a winner after having scored a paddleboard just in time for summer.

Syntech New Zealand sales executive Tim Pilkington delivered the inflatable paddleboard to Ms Wheeler in Opotiki on Thursday afternoon, having driven down from Auckland.

“Carol attended the food technology show at the ASB Showgrounds in in Auckland in September, and she filled in a form and dropped it off,” he said.

Mr Pilkington said the family-owned Syntech company specialised in sourcing flexible packaging for food products, mainly for preservation.

“My boss bought some of the paddleboards when he was in China last and now Carol has won one,” he said.
