THE Kiwi Junior League Festival wrapped up for another year as more than 30 teams played at Rugby Park on Saturday and Sunday.

The tournament has been held in Whakatane in all three editions so far as teams competed across under-10, under-11 and under-13 grades.

The sport team awards were won by Christchurch’s Celebration Lions in the under-10 grade and Takahiwai in the under-11 grade.

The under-12 winners were the St George Dragons and the overall sport champions were the New Lynn Stags under-11 team.

Mataatua Saddlebacks manager Caleb Ahu was named top manager while top coach was Colin Schraam from the Te Atatu Blue under-10 team.

Top referee was Jerome Winks while Mackenzie Harvey was given special mention for officiating in her own age group.
